  • The wavelength radiated by the solar surface is approximately 500nm, between the visible spectrum of green and blue. The reason we look at the Sun from Earth and see a more yellowish color is due to atmospheric factors that our planet has, and it protects us from the most harmful solar radiation. Part of the molecules in the atmosphere absorb more energetic solar radiation, such as those with green and blue wavelengths, and radiate a slightly longer wavelength for us (less energetic) at wavelengths close to yellow._cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_
